Bye Elder Mitchy!

Here's me and little Mitch at the MTC. I think one day he will hate me for always calling him little.
Here's the whole fam. All six of us together. Can't remember the last time that happened. Poor Angie. She's always front and center with her big old belly.
Trav and Mitch. Two of the best men in the whole entire world. My husband rocks. He is so awesome.
Mitch's tag in Mandarin Chinese. Good luck with that Mitch.
Oh, no! They've already started separating us! Even though it seems like last time I checked he was ten, we left my little brother Mitch at the MTC yesterday to serve in the Taiwan Taichung mission. Wow. He will be learning Mandarin Chinese and will be in the MTC for three months because the language is so hard. He is so smart and I am so proud of him. He truly is an awesome kid. And yes Lindsay, I feel the same way you do - where in the world did all the time go??? Next time I blink, Jaxon will be leaving - although I may not be okay with that. And don't worry everyone, I got my hair done that night, so my roots really aren't that bad.

I know, I know, I'll stop.

I can't help it. My kids have been so cute and good lately. I just love them a lot. And I will never do anything else with these pictures, so I figure I might as well post them. Why am I apologizing for what I put on MY blog???
Isn't she so pretty???
This is what happens when you tell Jax to smile for the camera. He becomes possessed and his eyes glow red. It's the freakiest thing.
First dress up. Our neighbor brought this stuff over last night. My little princess. I love her. She all of a sudden started talking in full sentences and paragraphs. She is so funny. Did I mention I love her?

Many Posts

I know I posted lots of stuff, but this is sort of my journal because I've NEVER done one except right after I graduated from high school, and it's embarrassing to read. And I know I posted backward, but I'm too lazy to fix it. I am sure I will have more pictures to post after Wednesday when little Mitch leaves for the MTC to serve in the Taiwan Taichung mission! Wow. Crazy how time flies. I'll probably go cry now.

Step 3: The Farewell

Sleepy time. Aren't they cute?
Uncle Steve will be such a good daddy when that baby comes in FIVE WEEKS!! Isn't he a cute guy?
I love my little brother and my dad. What great men we have in our family. Nice face, Dad.

Best uncle EVER! He played ring around the rosy with my kids for like an hour in the freezing cold the other night. He's a sweetheart.

Step 2: The Family Reunion

My cute kids sang Love Is Spoken Here at my family reunion. Yes, my two year old can sing the whole thing. She's so freaking smart and cute.
My cute sister and her husband Steve. And my niece Alex. Poor Angie. She's ready to pop.
Ya, ya, ya. Wrong setting on the camera. My cute daddy. I love him.
Once again, sorry for the blueness. I love my kid. I am goofy looking.

More Airport Stuff

Grandma and my cute niece Alex at the airport. Alex only looks stoned because she had an infection. Poor little baby.
This is my crazy niece Avory. She's the funniest little thing.
This is my crazy niece Avory after she took her diaper off at the airport and lifted her skirt and ran around. Ha ha ha.
Ya!!! Uncle Chad is here. Now many of you may not understand why it's so exciting to have Uncle Chad home. But those of you who know Chad will understand. Chad finished serving a five month sentence in the Maricopa County Jail about two months ago. Before that he spent a month in a pretty grueling rehab program in Phoenix. For the past 13 years, Chad has struggled with a drug and alcohol addiction. Long story short, he has been in and out of rehab, in and out of jail, and struggled with guilt and his self esteem for a long time. Last November things kind of culminated in a pretty serious situation, and he finally decided he needed to make some changes in his life. At the time I worried it would be more of the same broken promises. It was getting really hard to hear them. Well, he completed rehab in February, served his time from March to August, and through some miracle was released early. He has now been clean and sober for NINE MONTHS. He works hard to put his mistakes behind him and takes his consequences as they come. Anyone who has ever struggled with an addict will understand how it is all one day at a time. But on this day, I am so proud of him. He is so happy and doing so well. He looks at disappointments not as a reason to get high, but as a learning experience. And he believes strongly that he is being led to where he needs to be. I love him so very much. I feel like I finally have my big brother back. And he brought a fun new sister with him!:)

Crazy Weekend

Step 1: The Airport. We went to pick up Uncle Chad and his fiance, Nicole from the airport on Friday. They flew in for Mitch's farewell and all that fun stuff. Chad hasn't been home in a year and a half, so it was pretty exciting. Look at Jaxon's face. Isn't that funny? Little Mitch is so cute. He is such a little man. I am going to miss him so much.
Emory, Uncle Chad and Grandma at the airport.
This is Chad and his fiance, Nicole. She's from Phoenix and perfect for him. I love her.
Aunt Amy and silly Jaxon.

Jaxto

Here are some pictures of my boy and his funny little quirks.

This is what I get when I ask him to smile for the camera.
This is Jax and his buddy Kyler. They are the exact same kid. They like the same things, they talk the same, and they have so much fun together.
What? My kid isn't a TV zombie. Sometimes I don't think he even realizes I'm there. He's into Spongebob lately. Love the red eye. Nice picture taking skills by mom.
He is OCD. He really is. If I were to move one of these cars out of order, or even move one up a little from the other, he would know within seconds. He has some freaky inner radar that tells him when things aren't like he wants them to be. Can't imagine who he gets that from.

Love that kid! He keeps us so entertained. He says the funniest things and we just laugh and laugh. The other day I told him he needed to quit playing with his toothbrush and if I had to ask him to put it away one more time I was going to take it away from him. So he thought for a minute and said "Then don't ask me again". Sarcastic little brat.

5 THINGS: Channa, you suck. I hate these things. But I feel guilty if I don't do it, so...

5 Things I was doing 10 years ago: I was 16 which was 11th grade...

1-Wow, that was so long ago. I was living with Jen and Channa and going to 7-11 to get Slurpees a lot.

2-I'm sure doing Rockette stuff.

3- I think I had a crush on Tyke Whitaker - gag.

4- Hanging out with Aubrie, Jen, Erin and Helena a lot (I miss you guys a lot).

5- Stalking football practice - how embarrassing.

5 things on my "to-do" list today: Uh-oh, it's the end of the day, so I'll do it for tomorrow.

1-Take Jax to preschool.

2-Clean my mom's bathrooms. Yucky.

3-Take a nap. I'm lazy.

4-Watch The Office.

5- Hang out with little Mitchie, my brother who is leaving on a mission in a week.

5 things I would do if I had a million dollars:

1- Pay off stupid student loans.

2-Travel, travel, travel.

3- Shop A LOT.

4- Give lots away.

5- Pay my parents back for everything they ever had to pay for me.

5 things I will never wear again:

1- Slap bracelets.

2- Side ponytail.

3- My prom dress.

4- Anything I wore in high school.

5- Those little clips you used to slide your shirt through and leave on one side.

5 favorite toys:

1-Computer.

2-Books - do those count?

3- The Wii.

4- UNO on my phone.

5-My Ipod.

5 people I'm tagging: Aubrie, Sarah, Janna and Lindsay. Ok, so that's only four. Oh well.

Seriously???

Okay, it's mostly a joke, but who voted that we should have no more children? You may be my new best friend. I think it might be my brother in law Jamey, but I'm not sure. Whoever you are, I think I love you.

Cute Girl

Isn't she pretty? Sweet outfit huh?
What a goofy smile! My kids cannot do cute smiles. And yes, her teeth are really squirrelly.
Playing Nintendo with daddy. It's doesn't get much cooler than that. Seriously, he's really cool. He's like a Nintendo world champ.
I put these pictures on in the wrong order, but I'm too lazy to fix it. Emory fell asleep at like six tonight because I didn't give her a nap (we were running errands and got home too late for her to take a nap). So while I was cleaning the bathrooms, she fell asleep. Then when it came time for bed, she sat back in her room and talked for an hour. I finally went back to see what she was doing and she was sitting on her bed and said "Emory not sleeping". So she got to get up (bad idea) and play with daddy. She's crazy. She's now crawling around like a dog. My kids are little hams.
And yes, my 26 month old still uses a binky, or as we call them, a plug. Don't ask. When your kids are stronger willed than you are, it's not fun to take it away. I give up.

I realize it may seem like Emory is my favorite, but I actually have a soft spot for Jax. I just forget to take his picture. He was gone at his friend's house while Emory was sleeping, so I didn't get any pictures. I do like it now that Emory has gone from being a daddy's girl to asking for mommy all the time. I have the absolute best, cutest, funniest children. I wouldn't change a thing. Except maybe if they could make their own meals. I hate feeding them.

Dorks

My kids are dorks. They always have to be the center of attention (can't imagine where they got that) and they always copy each other. They put their shirts over their heads and walk around our house saying in freaky voices "happy am i" like Yoda. Their dad teaches them some weird stuff.

Super Dad

My husband is the coolest. I have little to no patience and he has huge amounts. He loves teaching our kids things and reading to them. Here he is teaching the kids to make pancakes.

My Boy

I love this kid. He is neurotic just like me and keeps me busy. Every five seconds he needs something. Fighting with him is like fighting with myself. It's irritating. He's so funny. One day he was watching TV, and Trav went up and sat by him and said "Jax, I love you" and Jax looked at him and said "Dude, let me watch this". He's hilarious. And yes, his head is big, and no, he NEVER smiles good for pictures. He got that from his dad.

My Baby

I guess she's not my baby anymore, but I still think of her like that because I don't want to have another! She says the funniest things. It's so cute to hear these adult sentences coming out of that tiny little mouth. I love her. She has started this thing lately when Jaxon is whining. She goes up to him and says "don't cry like a baby". It's hilarious. He usually hits her after she says it. She's a feisty little thing.

Here We Go!

Honestly, I don't have the patience for this kind of stuff so we will see how long it lasts. And I suck at taking pictures. So I will try this and if I run out of patience, I will just quit. Cause that's what I do with everything I'm not good at. Here goes!
